How many kWh the charger will deliver during this stop. If unsure, multiply usable battery kWh by the percentage being added—for example, 60 kWh × 50% = 30 kWh.

Add parking or other fees
A fixed fee charged once when the session starts, in pounds. This is separate from the energy cost.
Parking cost in pence per hour while using the charger. Enter 0 where parking is free.
The total time the vehicle will be parked, including charging time, in hours. For 1 hour 30 minutes enter 1.5.
The charger’s penalty in pence per minute after charging finishes or a time limit is exceeded.
How many minutes the idle or overstay fee will apply. Leave at 0 if you will move the car before the fee begins.

What can be included in a public charging bill?

Many networks charge only for electricity, but a session can also include a connection fee, time-based charge or parking cost. Membership or subscription plans may reduce the price per kWh. This calculator combines those items into one estimated bill.

Charging speed affects time fees

Where a per-minute fee applies, a slower vehicle or a battery that tapers at a high state of charge may increase the total even if the energy added is unchanged.
